June 21 | Global Online Gathering | Follow the Sun Around the Earth
On June 21, the June Solstice, we gather for a powerful global beginning: Solstice Unites, an Indigenous-led synchronized ceremony following the sun around the Earth.
Guided by Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr. and Indigenous leaders from around the world, communities will pass the light from region to region through prayer, song, story, ceremony, and shared intention.
Together, we will honor the wisdom of the ancestors, ignite the Eighth Fire, and begin 99 days of Peace Through Unity through the Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest.
This is more than an event.
It is a ceremonial beginning — a call to awaken, walk the path of spiritual empowerment, and help forge a compassionate and regenerative future in harmony with each other and Mother Earth.
Together, we follow the sun.
Together, we pass the light.
Together, we ignite the Eighth Fire.
Together, we begin again.
A Global Synchronized Ceremony Following the Sun
As the sun rises across Oceania and the Pacific, communities will begin gathering in ceremony, prayer, music, storytelling, reflection, service, and collective action.
From there, the light will be passed around the Earth as people gather across regions, cultures, time zones, and movements.
This global ceremony is connected through the Global Fire Ceremony Room inside One World, creating a living planetary flow of participation.
Each region is invited to receive the light, contribute its own gifts and wisdom, and pass the light onward.
The purpose is not rigid coordination.
The purpose is conscious connection.
A New Beginning for Peace Through Unity
The June 21 Solstice marks A New Beginning — the shared theme for World UNITY Week and the Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest.
The ceremony opens World UNITY Week and launches the Compassion Games as 99 days of Peace Through Unity, inviting people everywhere to practice compassion in action from June 21 through September 27.
During these 99 days, communities around the world are invited to play, serve, heal, restore, and unite — caring for one another, protecting life, and strengthening the bonds that make peace possible.
This year, we will also ceremonially light the Eighth Fire as a shared symbol of peace, unity, reconciliation, and humanity’s right relationship with Mother Earth and all life.
