Peace in Ukraine Project

by | Mar 4, 2022 | Uncategorized

We are at another turning point as the war in Ukraine is uniting the world in unprecedented ways. The high-level of social media use in Ukraine has led to a battle for online likes and shares that is shaping the views of people all around the world —and their governments.

Many dramatic moments, nearly all recorded by citizens with phones, are influencing outcomes. Public outcry has translated into policy change. Western countries have unified like never before. Companies are also paying attention to public opinion and stopping doing business with Russia. Thomas Friedman referred to this as “World War Wired” in “We Have Never Been Here Before”.

This unique moment and situation offers each of us an opportunity to up our personal and collective game to create “Peace in Ukraine.

Russian soldiers are experiencing low morale and heavy casualties with many not knowing they were going to Ukraine to fight. We are touched by President Zelinskyy’s call to the mothers of Russian soldiers to have them stop fighting and offering to return the captured soldiers to their mothers who come to get them.

The Ukraine Defense Ministry has opened a hotline and email address for Russian parents to find out if their sons have been killed or captured and started a campaign: “Come back alive from Ukraine.”

In Russia, there is an NGO, Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers of Russia that is being inundated with calls. In peacetime, the group usually stands up for the rights of soldiers but now its efforts are completely focused on the war in Ukraine. Check out “Just a sea of tears.”

What Can We Do?

Let’s convene to write a “tale of synergy” that connects and empowers the resources, events and activities focused on Peace in Ukraine. Let’s start here. There is an event on this Saturday (March 5 at 12:00 PM EST) that can get this rolling:

ONE Love Synchronized Meditation. For Ukraine. For Russia. For Humanity.

Join us and please share. Here is the link to the Facebook Event https://fb.me/e/4EwQRRKjV

The SINE Network will make a SINE Wave connecting many of us along with co-hosts May Peace Prevail on Earth, Children of the Earth/One Humanity Institute, Global Silent Minute, The Source of Synergy Foundation, Pathways to Peace, UNITY Earth, UNIFY, and others.

What if we brought forth support for the “Heart of the Mothers, Daughters, and Wives” calling to stop the war?

As a first step, let’s turn on our collective intelligence gathering. Let’s each act as a “reporter” and “update this project” (click on orange Weavr logo above) and share links to initiatives and opportunities you are aware of that can support Peace in Ukraine. The Peace in Ukraine project is taking place on Weavr. You can join the SINE Network and members on Weavr at no charge here https://weavr.app/join/sinemembersandnetwork

What do you think?  We will update this project so stay tuned.
